Final January 2010 Newsletter

To my surprise, none of the many folks who sent glowing comments about this website have sent me an e-mail requesting the single free Trial Telephone Tutoring lesson that I offered.

So, I finally sent this brief e-mail (below) to all who gave me their e-addresses.

We’re running into frustrating problems trying to put a check-box in the comments section allowing people to choose whether or not to receive replies to their comments via email. Hopefully, this issue will be worked out soon to avoid future confusion.

This is a 1-time e-mail unless you reply to me by e-mail (pi23read at yahoo.com) or by phone (540-872-1999).

I appreciated your comment to our www.ReadingWindow.org website.

I was totally sincere about offering 1 free trial telephone tutoring lesson (up to 45 minutes). I’d need the age and first name of the child you are tutoring or want to tutor.

Testimonials

This year in school my daughter was required to count backwards from 10; she struggled with this in her classroom setting all year, but learned this in less than 3 weeks with her tutor, Sherri. — Jennifer Hyer (February 26, 2008)

In just 6 weeks, children struggling with reading become happy, enthusiastic readers! Their skills improve at least 1/2 year's worth. Our tutors work one-to-one with a child, while also empowering a parent or guardian to help the child reach success. Each session consists of 30 hour-long lessons. Our methods build self-confidence and increase comprehension while we all have FUN! Need-based scholarships are now available through a grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.

Call Piper at 540-872-1999 for more information and/or to register your child.
