April 2008 Newsletter

I am looking for feedback. Are children indeed reading “Dog and dog-cat” with enjoyment and understanding?

And — Was it easy for you to download and print the little book?

I am also looking for more ways to help families who live too far away to come in person to experience our successful ReadingWindow methods. Did you find it easy to make and use the little cardboard “windows”? Do you have tips to share, or questions about using the “windows”?

Please help me (and future readers of this website) by answering the questions above. In return, I’ll offer an individual, 40-minute Telephone Tutoring session to the first four people who respond, plus two more to the lucky people whose names are drawn from all others who respond within thirty days.

Be sure to include your child’s name, age, and grade.
Also, information about special interests helps us create individualized tutoring. (Dinosaurs? Basketball? Pizza?………)

Thank you very much,
Piper Martin

Here’s a very brief Thank You that really touched my heart.

Testimonials

It sounds so good to hear my Jacob and Carter reading. They both now enjoy reading so much. For them to just understand “WHAT” they were reading… This moment is PRICELESS! — B. Foster

Location and Schedule

103 West St, Louisa, VA

In just 6 weeks, children struggling with reading become happy, enthusiastic readers! Their skills improve at least 1/2 year's worth. Our tutors work one-to-one with a child, while also empowering a parent or guardian to help the child reach success. Each session consists of 30 hour-long lessons. Our methods build self-confidence and increase comprehension while we all have FUN! Need-based scholarships are now available through a grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
