To Whom it May Concern:

The Reading Window truly goes above and beyond to help every child succeed; my daughter included. My daughter has been attending the Reading Window part-time for over a year now and she has really grown in many different ways. At first she would not speak to any of her tutors or her teachers at her school but after a couple of weeks she opened up to her tutors at the Reading Window and to her teacher at her school. I believe without the enthusiasm and patience of her tutor Sherri Rosser this would have taken much longer.

Mrs. Rosser, under the guidance of Piper Martin, showed my daughter that learning can be fun and rewarding; this really opened my daughter to working with unfamiliar people. The Reading Window has helped my daughter in other ways; she can now read all of her required sight words for her school and many more. Her tutor, Helen Langton, has helped refine my daughter’s motor skills and Ms. Langton is still continuing to work with her. Ms. Langton even put on a one person show to help explain the importance of President’s Day and other holidays which helped my daughter meet and pass one of her SOL’s. My daughter was having trouble with her speech last year but this has improved because of reading out loud. This year in school my daughter was required to count backwards from 10; she struggled with this in her classroom setting all year but learned this in less than 3 weeks with her tutor, Sherri. As a parent watching your child struggle through school is one of the hardest things to see but the tutors at the Reading Window have helped to turn this around.

Thank you,

Jennifer H.
