Dear Piper,

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and the staff of the Reading Window program for what you have accomplished with my two daughters. Isobel (8) and Sara (6) have improved drastically in the few short weeks they have attended your program. Before coming to Reading Window, reading was a task that Isobel avoided as much as possible. She almost had to be forced to read, she would look at the pictures, skip words and stumble through the text.

In just a short time she would become frustrated and begin to cry and become sullen. She then would begin to display negative behavior and act out her frustration. We as parents learned the traditional method of sounding out words and struggling through as an unpleasant, but necessary part of the process. I did not know there was an easier, better and more effective alternative.

The greatest aspect of the Reading Window program is that it is based on positive reinforcement and praise. It’s innovative interactive method teams parent and child to teach both an easy, stress-free method of learning. Like most parents I am easily frustrated when faced with the unknown, for me the unknown was how to teach my daughter to read. My efforts were unsuccessful and unfruitful. then my wife found the Reading Window program.

In just a few short weeks Isobel’s reading has improved drastically and she is even helping to tutor her younger sister Sara. I don’t get frustrated when helping with reading because of the techniques you have taught me.

Thanks Piper for sharing this wonderful method with our family. This is a wonderful way to increase literacy in our community. Each person who passes through this life leaves a mark, some great and some small, some noticeable and most obscure. You have left a mark on this family, for however many generations it continues, so will your imprint on all those who shall be touched by your work.

I hope that someday your program will be taught in the public schools as an early intervention program geared to building a firm foundation. Reading is the building block on which all other leaning is formed. Reading is the window through which the refreshing breeze of knowledge flows in to clear out the cobwebs of our natural mind. Knowledge which replaces darkness with light and impossibility with possibility and replaces stagnation with innovation.

Bravo!!
