In early 1992 my daughter was in the 1st grade and was in danger of not moving on to second. I was told without extra help and summer school she would not pass. I was introduced to Piper Martin at Twin Oaks and we started evenings and weekends for almost 3 years. Piper’s window method helped my daughter concentrate on what word and the meaning of that word for better understanding and more enjoyable reading. Piper helped her gain confidence as well as fluency. My daughter became more focused in other area’s of her class work also. Piper helped her to use her skills in other daily activities. We continue this method and all the good habits today!

Reading and writing improved so well that she is now in the sixth grade, going to the seventh. Also, Piper tutored my daughter in mathematics where she also used her window method of reading.

I feel without Piper’s guidance and help we would not be at the seventh grade level and my daughter would have repeated a grade by now. We are forever grateful to Piper Martin for her knowledge and professionalism that has allowed our daughter learn her method and enjoy reading as it should be.
